Recovery After Breast Reconstruction
After your procedure, swelling and bruising are to be expected with moderate discomfort. Drain tubes are in place to prevent accumulation of fluid. Activities are restricted for several weeks, and complete healing may take 6-8 weeks. Depending on the type of reconstruction, additional staged procedures may be needed.
